Dine Out for a Good Cause at Seven Reasons, Now Open in DC

Led by Chef Enrique Limardo, Seven Reasons is a recent addition to the DC food scene that’s already packing a punch. Joined by co-owner and manager Ezequiel Vázquez-Ger, Chef Limardo aims to craft Latin-inspired dishes that “take clients through a sensorial encounter.”  One subtle, yet particularly creative touch is the Seven Reasons menu, split into “first,” “second,” “third,” and “fourth” categories as opposed to the standard sections of appetizers, entrees, and so forth. You might enjoy the signature Seven Reasons ceviche, cauliflower tempura, rainbow trout, and summer rice. Or, you might opt for bluefin tuna crudo, crispy pork belly, crispy octopus, and lomito encebollado. For even more alternative meal options, you can treat yourself to the chef’s tasting menu, curated each day, or stick to a smaller meal with a dish or two from the menu’s sections. For an even more notable feature of this new eatery, it’s worth mentioning their charitable efforts. Most clearly, they donate $1 to a non-profit organization helping children in Venezuela for every cheese arepita (a dish from the “first” menu) sold.
